Biography:
Hanzo Shimada first appeared in the 2016 video game, *Overwatch*. He is a damage hero known for his skill with a bow and arrow.
Born into the Shimada clan, a criminal organization, Hanzo was trained from a young age to be a master swordsman and archer. He was expected to succeed his father as the head of the clan.
Following his father's death, Hanzo was ordered to correct his younger brother, Genji, who Hanzo saw as immature and reckless. When Genji refused, Hanzo engaged him in a battle which resulted in what Hanzo believed to be his brother's death. Haunted by his actions, Hanzo abandoned the clan and wandered the world seeking redemption. In '1243', he continues his efforts to atone for his past.
